PUNJAB FOOD AND CIVIL SUPPLY RECRUITMENT 2013



Punjab Food and Civil Supply department invites the recruitment for the Inspector of 461 posts (Group B) that would fall in the Pay Band Rs. 10300 - Rs. 34800 with Grade pay of Rs. 4200 and Initial Pay of Rs. 16290) in the Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Punjab. Eligible candidates can apply for the inspector post to the online on or before 9th November 2013. Age Limit (as on 30/09/2013):
  • General : 18 to 38 years
  • SC/BC : 18 to 43 years
  • Widows, Divorcees and certain other categories of women : 18 to 42 years
  • Applicants who are already in Government Service : 18 to 45 years
  • Physically Handicapped : 18 to 48 years
The upper age limit of an Ex-serviceman of Punjab Domicile shall be calculated by deducting
the period of his service in the Armed Forces from his actual age.


Educational Qualification: Any Graduate from a recognized University or an Institution or its equivalent and the candidate should have passed Punjabi Language subject up to Matric standard.


Exam Syllabus: The question paper will be provided both in English and Punjabi. It will have 150 questions each carrying one mark as per below format:
  • Language Proficiency (Punjabi - 13 questions, English - 12 questions)
  • General Knowledge - 25 questions
  • Mental Ability / Reasoning - 50 questions
  • Mathematical Skills - 25 questions (With Matric as the difficulty level)
  • Computer Proficiency - 25 questions
How can apply:

  • Candidate can apply on or before the last date 9th November 2013 for the Inspector post.

Application Fee: Rs.200/- for SC / BC candidates; Rs.800/- for All other categories (including General). The requisite fee can only be deposited in any of State Bank of Patiala branches as department has only nominated State Bank of Patiala for Collection of Fee using prescribed bank Challan.

Selection process: Candidate selection will be based on the written exam for the Punjab Food and civil supply inspector post.

  4. please change the date of food inspector exam becoz same date (i.e.15-12-2013) ibps/cwe are also conducted so please please please request everybody to food department head change the date of food inspector exam.....................
