SCRA EMANINATION 2014||Apply @ www.upsc.gov.in before 4th November 2013


As per the recent notification issued by Union Public Service Commission, the Special Class Railway Apprentices (SCRA 2014) Examination will be conducted on 12th January 2014 for filling various vacancies. All those willing to work in government sector can apply after checking their eligibility. The applicant must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility standards and if found otherwise, their application would not be entertained.

The interested and eligible applicants can apply online at www.upsc.gov.in before the last date. The last date for application submission is 4th Nov 2013. No other mode, other online applications will be entertained.

WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION?
There are 4 conditions for determining the eligibility for an applicant
a.      Nationality: He must be a citizen of India.
b.      Education
  • must have passed intermediate in 1st or 2nd division
  • has passed intermediate with atleast one of the subjects from PCM
  • Must have passed 1st year examination under the 3 year degree.
c.       Age as of 1st Jan 2014: The min age is 17 years and the maximum age is 21 years.
d.      Physical Standards: The candidates must be physically fit as the standards set by the Special Class Railway Apprentices examination 2014. 

IS THERE ANY APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE?
Yes, the candidates who are willing to apply have to certain amount of application processing. The fee is Rs 100/- only can be either deposited through cash in SBI or by using credit/debit cards. Some of the candidates who are exempted from application processing fee are:
  • Female candidates
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST Category
  • Candidates belonging to PH category
WHEN AND HOW WILL BE THE TEST CONDUCTED?
The written test would be conducted on 12th Jan 2014. The various test locations of the test to be conducted are:

WHAT WOULD BE THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION?
The examination would be divided into 2 sections Section-I and Section-II.

Section-I
The examination in section-I shall be conducted in the following manner
Part -1: A written test carrying a maximum marks of 600 marks covering the subjects
  • General Ability Test
  • English
  • General Awareness
  • Psychological Test
Part-II A Personality test carrying a maximum marks of 200 marks in respect of only those candidates who are declared qualified on the results of the written examination.

Section II
